During a recent appearance on FanDuel TV’s Run It Back Show, NBA insider Sam Amick addressed the possibility of the Milwaukee Bucks eventually trading Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Amick noted that if trade discussions intensify, the two-time MVP is likely to have significant sway over his next preferred team.
“The other thought real quick is Giannis is going to have his say here,” Amick said regarding the Bucks star’s potential trade preferences. “He’s going to put his foot on the scale, and I think at some point in terms of pushing towards a team that he wants to play for and that part is going to be a big factor as well.”
Amick also pointed out that Milwaukee could see a blockbuster deal involving Antetokounmpo as a chance to rebuild the franchise with young talent and valuable assets for the future.
“Maybe it gets them the kind of package where they can really turn the corner and build with some good young pieces, or maybe even some stars,” Amick said about the potential return the Bucks could receive in an Antetokounmpo trade.
